About Fiona

Fiona Britton is a Sydney writer, living and working on Bidjigal land. She has a PhD in English (Creative Writing) from University of Western Australia. 

While waiting to be an overnight success, Fiona has worked as a toy shop assistant, chip fryer, sandwich maker, bar tender, clown doctor, aerialist, hula hooper, stilt walker, and as an editor, writer, and communications manager for business.

Fiona likes stories about funny, fearless women who get to have it all.Her debut novel Violet Kelly and the Jade Owl, an historical crime caper, is due out on 1 August 2023.

Fiona’s short stories and poetry have been published in literary journals in Australia and overseas.
